Qui offre quoi?

A baby gift list without duplicates

Baby is on the way, and everyone wants to spoil the little family: the grandparents, the coworkers, the whole group of friends. It's wonderful — until three people buy the same diaper pail and nobody gets the car seat.

A shared baby list solves the problem, on one condition: the claims must stay invisible to the parents-to-be. Otherwise, goodbye unwrapping surprises.

The double problem with baby lists

First problem: duplicates. Without coordination, guests all buy in the same price range, and the essential items — pricier or less exciting — go unclaimed. A list where every claimed gift shows as taken to the other guests eliminates double purchases, without anyone exchanging a single email.

Second problem: the surprise. Big-box registries show the parents everything that's been bought, in real time. Here it's the opposite, by design: the parents browse their list as if it were day one, never seeing who claimed what — or even what's been claimed. Unwrapping day keeps all its charm.

Your baby list in three steps

  1. Build the list

Add the items you're hoping for, with a store link or a note (size, colour) if needed. No account required.

  2. Share the link with loved ones

By email, in the shower invitation or in the family group chat: one link for all the guests.

  3. Guests claim in secret

Everyone claims what they plan to give; others see it's taken. The parents see nothing at all.

Frequently asked questions

Do the parents-to-be see what's been claimed?

No, never. The list owner sees neither who claimed nor what's claimed. That's the whole point of the app.

Do guests have to sign up to claim a gift?

No: they open the list link and claim in two clicks, with no account or password.

What if the list is long?

The list is free for a small group. For a longer list or more guests, a one-time unlock of CAD $5.99 covers it.

Qui offre quoi? keeps your surprises intact and your gifts duplicate-free.
